The USF softball stadium is booked and busy this 2025.
The USF softball stadium has been the Bulls’ home since 1985, but it’s also one of the busiest fields in the country.
USF’s softball field hosts many games per season, including tournaments and invitationals.
It is hosting 69 matchups this season, bringing teams from around the country to play in warmer weather.
The Bulls have held two tournaments this year so far, hosting Pennsylvania State University, the University of Florida, the University of Michigan and more.
They have one more tournament scheduled this weekend.
Although softball head coach Ken Eriksen is responsible for inviting the teams, director of event management Amy Bonvillain oversees the games.
Bonvillain makes sure the staff and players are taken care of, and that “everything” runs smoothly.
“I love being behind the scenes…watching the whole event come through,” she said.
Bonvillain said sometimes she wishes she could just sit behind a desk for her “own sanity.”
Her job, however, is different every day.
“It keeps it fun and keeps it exciting,” she said.
Bulls can watch the next South Florida showdown, which will happen this Friday to Sunday.
