Tunnel To Towers mobile exhibit returns

The Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit visited Hernando County on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9.

The mobile exhibit is an 83-square-foot tracker trailer that expands into an eleven-hundred-square-foot museum. The museum features various artifacts from Ground Zero and features first responders who responded to the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Retired firefighter Frank Bazzicalupo was at the World Trade Center that day.

“So, they dispatched us to the World Trade Center – North Tower, and by the time we went down, the South Tower was down, and at that point, the North Tower collapsed,”  Bazzicalupo said.

The exhibit serves to honor the lives that were lost and to educate attendees on what occurred on that faithful day.

Field Manager Billy Puckett says its important to never forget.

“This is a part of history, and we have to educate our youth on history, because we don’t want it to repeat itself,” Puckett said.

The mobile exhibit travels to all 50 states across the country and even some parts of Canada, reminding all its visitors to never forget what happened on September 11, 2001.
