Since its inaugural season, the USF football program has had 30 alumni drafted into the NFL. Our own offensive lineman Donovan Jennings is training to be the next.

Jennings has been a Bull for six years and was ecstatic when he heard it was his time to shine.

“I’m just so excited that I can be able to be in this draft process and you know hopefully hear my name called and that’s just something I’ve really been working towards and been excited about my whole career… You know the team that picks me up they’re gonna get a hard-working, dedicated guy that’s gonna come out to work every single day and just have a smile on his face who’s just ready to get better and ready to encourage his teammates in any way he can,” said Jennings in an interview with our reporter Victoria Harris.

Jennings currently holds the record for most career games at USF and is shattering his own records in training. At USF’s Pro day, he ran a 40-yard dash in under 5 seconds.

The NFL draft is taking place on April 25th and Jennings is hopeful to showcase his talents as an athlete and make his Tampa Bay community proud.

The city of Tampa is implementing a new policy that will force riders to adhere to designated parking areas or face fines of as much as $5.

Jocelyn Place a student at the University of Tampa thinks the initiative is a great idea.

“I think it is inconsiderate for people to be abusing the scooters that we have here, I use them to go everywhere.”

To encourage responsible parking, the city is also incentivizing the return of lost scooters. The reward can be as much as $2.50 in credit for future rides.
