An actor points a gun on stage in The Play That Goes Wrong

David O’Hara has been directing for 50 years and first found his love for theater in his senior year of high school. To him, live theater is like fireworks.

“There’s a lot of different fireworks that kind of do the same thing, but don’t do exactly the same thing,” he relates, “and once that firework goes off, it won’t ever be seen in that way ever again, and I think live theatre is kind of like that.”

“The Play That Goes Wrong” at Richey Suncoast Theatre starts its two weekend run on Nov. 14 and concludes on Nov. 23, with shows at 7 p.m. (14th, 15th, 21st & 22nd) and 2 p.m. (16th & 23rd).
