Students race on a driving simulator as part of the USF Racing Club

Beder Nourachi, the president of USF’s new Racing Club, presents an ambitious plan to increase student involvement and strengthen the university’s position in the motorsports industry.

In the interview, Nourachi discusses what motivated him to start USF’s new Racing Club and how he wants to provide students who are interested in motorsports with a structured, skill-focused atmosphere. He describes how members use the club’s racing simulator to improve consistency, technique, and confidence behind the wheel as he takes audiences through a typical session. According to Nourachi, his long-term objective is to raise everyone’s ability level on the simulator so that those skills can eventually be applied to actual kart racing. Additionally, he describes strategies to increase the club’s membership, engage the larger Tampa Bay community, and eventually get it ready to compete with other universities.

The conversation provides a clear picture of how he intends to transform a brand-new student group into an inclusive and competitive motorsports program.
