TAMPA – The USF Campus Activities Board hosted a Winter Wonderland event offering students a night of unique activities in a safe alcohol-free environment as part of an ongoing effort to provide students with safe weekend alternatives.

The event was held on January 17 and featured attractions such as a mechanical reindeer, a petting zoo, an ice skating rink, winter-themed crafts, and even a drag show. Over 1,100 attendees participated, according to the USF Bulls Connect Site.

A petting zoo appeared at the USF Winter Wonderland event.

“I love that USF creates events like this because it gives us students something fun to do on the weekend rather than going out partying,” said senior Lauren Knowles, who attended the event with her roommates.

The Winter Wonderland event was the largest event led by the Campus Activities Board this year. The board plans to continue hosting themed events, with the next one scheduled for January 31 featuring a Bulls in Wonderland theme.
