The USF Bulls prepare for a warm Christmas
College football season is not over yet. Reporter Victoria Harris takes a look at what’s next for the USF Bulls.
The University of South Florida football team is preparing for the Christmas Eve matchup in Honolulu in the Hawaii Bowl. The Bulls kick-off against San Jose State at 8 p.m. EST on Dec. 24. After breaking records at the Boca Raton Bowl last year with the largest blowout victory in Bowl history against Syracuse, USF will make back-to-back Bowl appearances in the two years under Head Coach Alex Golesh.
At over 4200 miles away from Tampa Bay, this will be USF’s farthest game from home and 12th Bowl appearance in program history, with a record of seven total victories. Make sure you don’t miss the game and tune in to ESPN on Christmas Eve to watch the Bulls face the Spartans.
The Museum of Science and Industry lets children’s imagination fly with their new exhibition
MOSI has added a new drone zone to ensure kids have access to drones and the new opportunities they can offer — staying true to their mission of being a space where new ideas can be celebrated.
Drones’ increasing popularity and versatile functions has made them handy tools to have around. MOSI wants its guests to have the knowledge to explore these opportunities. The drone testing had an overwhelming response in MOSI’s idea zone, according to the museum’s Director of Education Janet White.
“So we kind of did a little scientific experiment to see if it was worth expanding the exhibit. Since it was so popular, we were able to get funding from Suncoast Credit Union to expand the exhibit and add the obstacles to (…) make it more of an obstacle course and more fun for all of our guests,” White said.
The drone obstacle course is a fun challenge for guests included with admission. Visit MOSI from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy this new exhibit. Click here to learn more about their drone zone.
The Museum of Science and Industry continues to innovate with new projects and exhibits. MOSI announced through social media the upcoming opening of their digital dome planetarium in 2025. This will be the second largest digital dome planetarium in the country.
You can find other fun activities and exhibitions on MOSI’s website.
