Brazilian conference grows with expected record attendance at USF
The largest Brazilian student conference in Florida is returning to USF on April 11 and 12.
BRASA Connect is a conference organized by Brazilian students at USF with Brazilian students in mind.
The conference has grown each year since it launched its first event in 2022.
With record attendance expected this year, organizers said BRASA Connect is more than just a conference — it’s a gateway to opportunity.
Arthur Ferreira, BRASA Connect’s head of logistics, said the event is a key opportunity for Brazilian students to grow professionally.
“Here in the U.S. we don’t get so many opportunities as Brazilian students,” Ferreira said. “[BRASA] Connect is a way to connect with other Brazilians already in the industry so [students] can have better opportunities.”
The two-day event focuses on leadership, career growth and innovation.
Students can attend panels, workshops and a career fair with top hiring companies.
Some of the speakers attending this year’s conference work for Porsche, Microsoft, Dyson, NVIDIA and United Airlines.
Among the speakers are some USF students who have graduated and found a job in the U.S.

Ferreira said BRASA Connect stands out from other student conferences because of the variety of speakers.
“We bring so many good speakers from all around the globe, and it’s great to have students here to learn from them, hear from them and get to talk to them.”
At the career fair, some of the companies looking for interns will be Galapagos Capital, SAP, Universal Orlando Resort, Dexian and even USF.
Ferreira said BRASA Connect is “all about” connections between employers, speakers and students.
“You get to connect with them, talk one-on-one and learn from their experiences to advance your career as fast as possible,” he said.
A ticket costs around $45 after taxes and includes access to all guest speakers’ presentations, the career fair and a Brazilian lunch for the two days.
The conference will be held at USF’s Marshall Student Center.
