Alex Golesh has wrapped up his career at USF after leading the Bulls for the last three years. Golesh announced Sunday he has accepted the head coaching job at Auburn University in Alabama. This comes immediately after an explosive win against Rice University Saturday.
“I thought [we] competed well, really really well. Really focused, really complete game on all three sides. So really proud of our guys, really proud of our seniors, and really proud of the way we finished,” Golesh said at a press conference following Saturday’s game.
Against the Rice Owls, Golesh led the Bulls to a 49-point lead win…cementing Golesh’s legacy at USF.
The former coach addressed the media and Auburn administration in Alabama on Monday, stating it’s a “dream come true” to be Auburn’s next head coach.
Current assistant coach Kevin Patrick has been named as the interim head coach for the Bulls as the team finishes the season.
The Bulls will play in their third straight bowl game this year… which bowl game, however, has yet to be announced.
