University of South Florida launches new course for voters

The Center for Sustainable Democracy and Innovative Education at USF have partnered to launch a new “Being a Voter” educational course.

The “Being a Voter” course is now available through Canvas and it provides resources to help students understand the voting process. This election is many students’ first time voting and this course recognizes the importance of education on voting rights. Student Riley Greus is a first-time voter who is appreciative of a course like this.

“So, this is obviously my first time voting and I feel like before I took this course, I was very clueless. The videos and modules really helped me understand how the process works and how being able to vote is a privilege,” Greus said.

The course includes interactive modules and informational videos, helping students understand not just how to vote, but why their participation matters.

For students interested in learning more about the voting process, resources are available on the USF campus and through the online platform.
