Halloween safety tips you should look out for this holiday
Original reporting by Kieran Konopka
On Halloween kids have a higher chance of being struck by a car than other night according to Jama pediatrics.
“Make sure that their costumes are fitted properly so they’re not tripping, making sure that they’re costumes are highly visible, whether that’s reflective tape or glow sticks, ” said Stefanie Huertas, master police officer.
Officials also ask parents to only trick or treat in neighborhoods they trust.
“We put more police out in the city just to let people know there’s going to be kids out, ” said Chief Michael Hagewood.
It’s advised to make yourself easily visible by wearing reflective tape and glowsticks.
