As a community organizer and leader with People Power for Florida, Elizabeth Miller helps lead voter outreach efforts across Hillsborough County, from registering voters to organizing volunteers and building community partnerships. Her work begins long before election day.
Behind each voter registration drive is planning, coordination, and a team of people working throughout the community. Miller helps organize those efforts while building partnerships with groups that can connect People Power for Florida with more residents.
Leadership is also a major part of her role. Miller works with volunteers, helps prepare them for community outreach, and keeps voter registration efforts organized.
Rather than waiting until Election Day, Miller and her team work year-round to provide residents with voting information and opportunities to get involved in their communities.
To her, the work ultimately is about the people and for the people. Each conversation, volunteer, and community partnership extends the organization’s reach. This also gives residents another opportunity to participate in the voting process.
